Senior Manager, Paid Search

Description

 

Our client is looking for a Senior Manager, SEM with a compelling record of creating and managing digital marketing strategies and leveraging marketing campaigns to deliver outstanding revenue growth. This position will be focused on partnering with Marketing Services to drive growth within the Paid Search channel. This role entails an intimate knowledge of: paid social platforms and ecosystems and capabilities, ad serving technologies, affiliate technology platforms, DSPs, site direct buys, mobile, video and emerging inventory sources and experience managing direct reports. This position requires a deep understanding of the evolving MarTech/AdTech landscape. In-house marketing experience is a plus.

The position requires an enthusiastic multi-tasker with attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication and an ability to build relationships across internal and external teams. This person needs to be able drive strategies as well as guide data-driven tactical decisions in close to real time. Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Work with SEM agency around management and daily execution of paid search campaigns with a focus on identifying new opportunities of growth

  • Create and execute strategies to target localized search queries

  • Manage the SEM channels to drive growth with emerging brands (i.e.FruitBouquets.com, Florists.com, Personalization Universe, and 0800flowers.com)

  • Analyze performance data and provide intelligent synthesis, interpretation and appropriate action plans based on conclusions. Scope of which can be related to keywords, landing pages, ad copy, ad distribution, and device. Mobile is a very important component of SEM for the floral vertical so particular attention must be dedicated to all mobile trends.

  • Communicate with internal teams as well as extensive collaboration with Marketing and Merchandising team around promotions, new category, new product and other promotional campaigns.

  • Actively manage paid search campaigns to maximize sales/order production within efficiency targets and weekly and monthly budgets.

  • Work with agency as well as internal teams to optimize product feed for use in search engine shopping campaigns, CSE, marketplace as well as accommodate needs for other teams.

  • Maintain high levels of up-to-date knowledge of best practices and strategies in the management of online paid media.

  • Develop online media strategies to optimize the competitive position of paid media and participate in the effective management of the business plan and surrounding forecasting.

  • Assist in development of search media plans (research, submitting request for proposals "RFPs" to search engines) and building effective relationships with all vendors.

  • Work directly with search engine representatives to take advantage of new offerings, tests as well as acquire ideas for building efficient scale and solicit performance data for program optimization.

  • Collaborate and support/assist team members to optimize their performance, sharing performance reporting and other creative and website resources.

  • Provide senior-level support around competitive presence, marketing strategies and tactical execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in dedicated paid search engine marketing and Shopping/Feed optimization

  • Experience managing large media budgets and meeting/exceeding monthly goals for spend, revenue, customer acquisition, and other key performance metrics.

  • Experience with responsibilities such as regular reporting, collaborative strategic planning, and performance management.

  • Experience with internal site visitor reporting/tracking programs or software.

  • Extremely strong Excel skills.

  • Experience and proficiency with Google Analytics and/or other website performance suites (Coremetrics, Ominiture, etc.).

  • Database management skills a strong plus.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Compensation budget: $115,00 to $135,000 base plus bonus and options
